M&T Partners Represent Indonesia in Infrastructure and Energy Industry Seminar for Japanese Investors
Last 20 November 2019, Vincent Ariesta Lie and Yohanes Masengi were invited as speakers in the seminar organized by Atsumi & Sakai, a top-tier firm with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
With around 150 attendees comprising Japanese companies and investors, lawyers from various jurisdictions discussed major issues or points by which Japanese investors need to know, including the development of trends/situation of investment by foreign companies into the infrastructure and energy industry; legal restrictions on foreign investment or restrictions on transfer of profits; and significant finance related issues unique to certain jurisdictions.

Partners Vincent Ariesta Lie and Yohanes Masengi tackled ”General Investment and Renewable Energy in Indonesia”, covering the country’s current investment climate, changes to investment licensing, infrastructure development, procurements schemes, and mechanisms, among others. Vincent and Yohanes have both been involved in various high profile infrastructure and power projects in Indonesia, and have garnered recognitions for their work.
