Drew Network Asia Seminar: Ai, Data Use and Cybersecurity, Developments in Asia and Beyond

On July 16th, 2024, our Partners, Reagan Roy and Heru Mardijarto, participated as speakers in the seminar on "AI, Data Use and Cybersecurity: Developments in Asia and Beyond" along with other Drew Network Asia Partners in Singapore.

Our Partner, Reagan Roy, shared some insights on the legal developments in data use and cross-border transfers. The session provided an overview of the legal requirements in various ASEAN jurisdictions, focusing on the ASEAN data protection landscape and upcoming development across the region.

In the next session, our Partner, Heru Mardijarto, shared some insights on data breach management. The session addressed the challenges companies face during multi-jurisdictional data breaches, covering notification requirements and strategic considerations for effective response coordination across ASEAN region.
