Maria Sagrado Shares Loan Facilities FAQs in China Loan Market Conference

Over 290 people attended this year’s China Loan Market Conference organized by the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) in Beijing. An impressive lineup of speakers graced the event, including representatives from local and international banks, delegates from banking regulatory bodies and government agencies, and lawyers from top law firms, including our Partner, Maria Sagrado. M&T was also one of the event sponsors.

Maria talked about the Indonesian legal framework, specifically the frequently asked questions from Chinese banks when extending loan facilities to Indonesian companies. She tackled specifics such as special approvals required, currency and foreign exchange limitation, language for the loan documents, dispute settlement, and the most common security interests. The other sessions discussed hot to better serve Chinese enterprises “going global” under the new economy; foreign debt and cross-border security update; the impact of the International Green Finance Development on the PRC market; and green finance certification.
