POSITIONS FOR FOREIGNERS IN THE ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES INDUSTY

On 14 January 2015, the Minister of Manpower issued Decree No. 16 of 2015 on Positions Open for Foreign Citizens in the Accommodation and Food and Beverages Service Industry (“MOM Decree 16/2015”). Under MOM Decree 16/2015, the following positions are open for foreigners in accommodation companies:

1. Commissioner (Komisaris)
2. President Director (Direktur Utama)
3. Marketing Director (Direktur Pemasaran)
4. Operations Director (Direktur Operasional)
5. Finance Director (Direktur Keuangan)
6. Guest Relations Manager (Manajer Hubungan Tamu)
7. Hotel Manager (Manajer Hotel)
8. Marketing Manager (Manajer Pemasaran)
9. Country Club Manager (Manajer Country Club)
10. Artistic Performance Specialist (Ahli Seni Pertunjukan)
11. Design Specialist (Ahli Desain)

However, the above positions are only open for foreigners in four or more star hotels.

Under MOM Decree 16/2015, the following positions are open for foreigners in food and beverage companies:

1. Commissioner (Komisaris)
2. President Director (Direktur Utama)
3. Restaurant Director (Direktur Restoran)
4. General Manager (Manajer Umum)
5. Food and Beverage Advisor (Ahli Makanan dan Minuman)
6. Restaurant Advisor (Ahli Pengelola Makanan)
7. Quality Control Advisor (Ahli Pengendalian Kualitas)
8. Chef (Juru Masak)

Note that in January 2015, several decrees were issued by the Minister of Manpower regarding the Positions for Foreigners in several Industries. For example in the Tobacco, Agriculture, Forestry, Fishery, Furniture, and Footwear industries
