Rahayu Ningsih Hoed on Ethical Challenges at IBA Anti-Corruption Asia Conference
Our Senior Partner, Rahayu Ningsih Hoed, recently spoke at the International Bar Association (IBA) Anti-Corruption Committee Asia Conference held from 11-12 November 2024 in Marina Bay, Singapore. Her session, "Corruption and Dispute Resolution: Navigating Ethical Challenges in Litigation and Arbitration," explored the ethical complexities faced in addressing corruption allegations in legal proceedings.
The panel discussion, moderated by Justice Hri Kumar of Singapore’s Supreme Court, included insights from notable speakers Alain Grieder (Schellenberg Wittmer, Singapore), Suruswadee Jaimsuwan (Tilleke & Gibbins, Bangkok), Shashi Nathan (Withers KhattarWong, Singapore), Sherbir Panag (Panag & Babu, New Delhi), Dawn Tan Ly-Ru (Ashurst ADTLaw, Singapore), and Jennifer (Eunkyung) Yoo (Peter & Kim, Seoul). Together, they covered key issues like evidence admissibility, contract enforcement amid bribery concerns, and maintaining transparency in dispute resolution.
