JAKARTA MINIMUM WAGE 2014

In 2014, the Governor of Jakarta issued updates on the Jakarta Minimum Wage through the following regulations:

  1. Regulation No.54 of 2014 on the Minimum Sectoral Wage in the Province for 2014. Adjustments were made for the following industries under Regulation 54, namely Cosmetics, Automotive, Canned foods, Pharmaceuticals, Hospital Services, Radio and television, audio and visual recording devices; and Electronic household goods. This regulation has been in force since 1 January 2014
  2. Regulation No.62 of 2014 on the Minimum Sectoral Wage in the Province for 2014. Adjustments were made for the following industries under Regulation 62, namely Construction and public works, Chemicals, Energy and mining, Metal works, Electronics and machinery, Insurance and banking, Food and beverages, Textiles, clothes and leather goods, Tourism, Telecommunications; and Retail. This regulation has been in force since 30 April 2014

Note that the minimum wage under the above Regulations only applies to employees working under a contract for less than 1 year. Wages of other workers should be negotiated among the parties, but should not be less than the determined minimum wage.
