National Disaster Declaration for COVID-19 Pandemic
President Joko Widodo has finally declared the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (“COVID-19”) a National Disaster under Presidential Decree No. 12 of 2020 (“PD 12/2020”) which was issued on Monday, 13 April 2020. The declaration of a national disaster is briefly regulated under Law No. 24 of 2007 regarding Disaster Mitigation (“Disaster Mitigation Law”).
