In celebrating our 43rd anniversary, our outing to Labuan Bajo was a memorable escape. For a few days, we had the opportunity to experience the breathtaking beauty, the soothing waters and the warm hospitality of the people of Labuan Bajo alongside our colleagues

In 2023, Makarim & Taira S. collaborated with some of Indonesia’s top universities and members of the Asian Law Students Association (ALSA) to help prepare law students for international competitions and provide hands-on legal experience.

On April 6th, 2022, our Litigation Practice Group held a special Litigation Group Meeting (LGM) in the office of Makarim & Taira S. It was special because it was the first physical group meeting held since the COVID-19 pandemic began in early 2020. In addition, we had the honor of welcoming Bapak Arief Sulistyanto, the Head of the Security Maintenance Agency of the Indonesian National Police (KABAHARKAM Polri) and Bapak Rivan Achmad Purwantono, the President Director of PT Jasa Raharja, to share their valuable knowledge of Binary Option Investment Practices, one of the topics attracting much attention in the country recently.

For two consecutive years, Rahayu or ‘Yayuk’, has been invited to represent the Indonesian Advocate Association (PERADI) South Jakarta to speak in Technical Guidance Training on Cooperation Agreement Drafting developed by Port Operators.

On Saturday, 19 February 2022, our Partner, Rahayu Ningsih Hoed gave a Zoom webinar on “Land Mafia and Legal Protection for Landowners”.

On Friday, 18 February 2022, our Partner, Heru Mardijarto, spoke at a webinar along with other Data Protection Law practitioners from market-leading firms under the Drew Network Asia (DNA) umbrella.
